This hotel is perfectly located in the Marais, near metro St Paul, close to the Musée Picasso and surrounded by many great shops. The room and the bed were good, but we heard a lot of nise during the night, cause by the bistro-café in the neighbouring street. I think that a room on the top floor or at the street side is more quiet than a room overlooking the court on the lower floors.

My husband and I recently had an 11-day stay at GHM. On the negative side, there were some problems in the room. It was missing a dresser, or even a set of shelves to unpack clothing and a ridiculously small closet that had a mini-fridge inside, and one shelf. We had to live out of our suitcases for the entire stay. The bed’s vinyl headboard was peeling and had visible fingernail marks, sections of wall had paint scraped away, and there was no operable telephone in the room or the hall. What if there was an emergency, we were on the 6th floor, and couldn’t call reception? Also, there were no washcloths and no towel bar in the separate toilette/sink. The sink in the toilette was laughably small, perhaps 6 x 9 in. Despite promises, the telephone never worked. One receptionist, annoyed by our repair reminders, told us that our room was their biggest and best - yet they didn't feel there was room for drawers or shelving. After 9 days, a worker replaced the disgusting headboard, cheerfully saying all the others had already been replaced, all except ours. On the positive side, GHM is in a great location in The Marais, and only a short walk to Metro St. Paul, the Seine, MEP and other cultural locations. The lobby is modern, the hotel is kept clean, the room was large by Paris standards with good light, a modern bathroom, and the queen bed was comfortable. Generally the staff was pleasant. Other than the location, I’m surprised it gets 3 stars.

Great location, was upgraded to their nicer/larger room when they knew we were celebrating my husbands first trip to Paris and our “baby-moon.” Close to metro and bus line, clean, large bathroom and huge shower for Europe standards. Friendly staff, easy check in/out.

An amazing place to stay for visitors to Paris. Very conveniently located - right in the centre of the city, 2 minutes' walk to a metro station on one of the main lines. The neighbourhood (Le Marais) is one of the safest and prettiest in Paris, and the street next to the hotel is full of cafes, bakeries and restaurants. The Seine is less than 10 minutes' walk away. The reception staff are friendly, welcoming and happy to help with any issues or questions you might have. My room was clean, spacious and well decorated, with a mini fridge. They provide bottled water, tea/coffee, biscuits and slippers. The room also had a balcony looking out onto the street. It was very reasonably priced and is similar in price to private rooms at hostels (but with a far superior experience). After checking out, you can store your luggage at the reception for the entire day if necessary, free of charge. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone visiting Paris!

Couldn't of been happier staying here really! Staff at check-in and during our whole stay were friendly, helpful, simply fabulous! Rooms a bit small but very comfortable and clean. Most importantly, A/C worked perfectly!!! Temperatures during our stay in Paris were running 96F/35C. So nice to get back to our room and cool off. Location in the city is really good! Close to metro which should be taken advantage of regardless of the weather. Also, the neighborhood, quiet and felt very safe. Dining suggestions from the staff were perfect as well. Would definitely stay here again!
